Makanan Khas Semarang

LUNPIA

Lunpia is snack made of bamboo shoots, eggs, and shrimp; it is snack that comes from a family tradition for generations of Chinese descent. That said, the food was first brought into the city of Semarang in 1930 by a young man named Jwa Dayu China. Lunpia most famous in Semarang is Lunpia Gang Lombok or Warung Siem. There are 2 varieties of Lunpia in our ordered there are Lunpia Basah dan Lunpia Kering (fried Lunpia). Lunpia served with sauce sprinkled with chopped garlic, cayenne pepper, and young onions.
 


 
 
GANJEL RIL

But, because of the famous wingko come from Semarang because a lot of people think that wingko also comes from this city. This snack has various flavors such as durian, chocolate, jackfruit, pandanus, and many more. Wingko Babat is available in different brands and can be purchased in the gift shop in Jl.Pandanaran, Tawang Station, Poncol Station and Jl. Cendrawasih.



 



TAHU PONG


Tahu pong is a variation of tofu which its inner part is left perforated. Tahu pong is best served when warm. It is usually eaten along with light shrimp sauce and fried boiled egg. The snack can be found around Jl. Gajah Mada and Jl. Depok.
